In the external application config the path to the exiftool. The function caExifToolInstalled() in mediaPluginHelpers.php always returned false on a windows system: There where 3 things in conjunction that made this fail on a Windows machine: Replace /opt/gitlab/embedded/bin/exiftool with a file containing this content: /bin/bash cat - If needed, chmod a+x exiftool to ensure itâs executable. (Doesnt matter if its in Windows directory) Move jhead.exe and jpegtran. Replace exiftool script with cat - This workaround will prevent all stripping of exif data from uploaded images. I have created a Data mapping excell that has EXIF as Imput Format and im using the media import setting "Extract embedded metadat object using mapping"Īnt help would be much So i finaly figured it out. Unzip ExifTool GUI archive into the same directory. But this does not give me the specific specific control that the import file gives.
